What's Stopping Me?

This Tumblr thing is really new to me and i created it to express an array of feelings that come to me as a gay teen in today’s society. Media has both helped and deter the progression of gay rights, such as the many suicides of the gay youth in the recent year, which shined more light on how intolerant some people are of homosexuals. We as a group are proud of who we are, because we didn’t choose to be this way, we just are this way and just cause we like the same sex, doesn’t make us less human than any heterosexual. But like in any group there are those who just create a stereotype of who society perceives as everyone in association with these people…..And since homosexuality doesn’t limit to any specific culture or heritage, we create a “vortex” of stereotypes, such as the myth that most child molesters are homosexual and that the only reason homosexuals join the military is to find hot guys…..What is wrong with people….. We’re not monsters trying to convert people into being gay, its not even possible. I’m just saying, if you don’t like someone for something they can’t control, who are you to judge and make fun of…….
