What's Stopping Me?

I hate that phrase, when someone says that its usually in a joking matter….but do they really know the implications it has on others. The word “Gay” use to mean carefree and lighthearted, but around the 1960’s it started to mean homosexual and apparently a word that was synonymous with disgusting, weird, unnatural. This is most commonly seen in male teens, since most heterosexual male teens still believe in being “Superior Macho” idiots, to make them seem “cooler” to there friends. Picking on the different kid always seemed fun, when your not the one there picking on. To bad for me i was always the “different kid”, you know the one who is quiet but friendly enough to approach. “It happens to everyone”, people used to tell me, well it didn’t feel like it, i felt like the only one being picked on because i was different, so what if i like to bake or read books and not really go out partying. Did it really give those bullies the right to pick on me and call me names……i don’t think so……sorry if i didn’t really fit into there code of conduct of  being an average teen, is it wrong if i want to do my own thing and not follow there stereotypical lifestyle…….
